about us
Since I can remember, I have always loved the Bernese Mountain Dog. It was a goal of mine to own one of my own, and a dream to breed and care for these amazing dogs. At Freiberners, our number one priority is ensuring that our dogs are happy healthy and properly cared for. We only allow dogs in our breeding program that are CKC registered with hip and elbow clearances, as well as clear of Von Willebrands and DM. All of our dogs are raised and kept inside of our home, they are a part of the family! Our dogs have over 2 acres of fenced property so they receive tons of exercise and outdoor play time. Our property is 20 acres and includes walking trails that our dogs are walked daily on. Photos of our property are below. We are located just outside of Waterloo ON, Canada.
With being on the purchasing side of a puppy myself, it was extremely important to me to create a true 'experience' for my clients. There is so much more to the entire process then just taking home your new fur baby, and our goal at Freiberners is to work with you through all the stages of your new adventure to ensure it's as easy as possible for you. The support and communication does not end when you take your puppy home - we encourage you to stay connected to us and other clients through our Facebook and Instagram handles.

Our puppies
All of our puppies are raised in our home. Once they are 5 weeks of age, they are introduced to our indoor/outdoor run to get them started on potty training. Our pups stay with us until they are at least 8 weeks old - no exceptions!
Each puppy will go home with CKC registration papers and are sold on a non breeding contract. Puppies are sold with a 2 year health guarantee for hereditary/congenital defects. Our puppies come vet checked, microchiped, vaccinated and are dewormed several times. On pick up day, you will also recieve a 'Berner bag' which includes tips for training and caring for your new pup, a toy that was introduced to the puppy before going home to help with the transition, and food. We are always available to help at any time with your puppy and encourage you to keep in touch with us and other clients of ours!
we want to hear from you!
We would love to hear from you if you are thinking a Bernese puppy is a right fit for you. If we do not have a litter available at the time, we would be more than happy to add you to our waiting list or recommend one of our partner kennels. We encourage you to thoroughly research this wonderful breed and come for a visit before deciding to purchase. Owning a new pup is a large responsibility so you'll want to make sure you're ready for it - but don't worry, we are here every step of the way!
